Code Crafted Nexus LLC ("we," "us," or "our") makes PromptSmith, a prompt builder for Windows and Mac. This policy explains what PromptSmith does and does not do with information.

1. What PromptSmith does not do

What you type never reaches our servers. The sentences you write, the prompts PromptSmith generates, and your saved library stay on your computer. The app has no account system and includes no analytics, crash reporting, or advertising identifiers.

2. What stays on your computer

• Your sentences, generated prompts, saved library, saved model sets and settings are stored locally in your user profile. Nothing in them is sent to us.
• If you export your library, the file is saved only where you choose.
• Your license key and a signed activation record are stored locally, encrypted with your system's secure storage when available.

3. Buttons that open other websites

When you press “Copy and open Claude” (or ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity), PromptSmith copies your prompt to your clipboard and opens that service in your web browser. We do not see what you paste. That service's own terms and privacy policy apply to what you do there.

4. License activation, trial and checks

When you start the free trial or activate a license, and periodically while PromptSmith is open, the app contacts our license server (hosted on Supabase) and sends your license key (if any), a random device identifier, a one-way hash of your computer's identifier, the computer name, operating system, and app version. We use this only to enforce the number of computers per license, to run the one-time free trial, to disable refunded licenses, and to support you. The hash cannot be turned back into your computer's identifier. It never includes your prompts. We keep this record for as long as the license or trial exists.

5. Update checks

PromptSmith checks GitHub, where we publish releases, for newer versions. The request is a normal web request, so GitHub sees your IP address under its own privacy policy. Updates are only downloaded when you choose.

6. Purchase information

PromptSmith is sold through our website and processed by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details and billing information under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, and order details so we can send your license key (using our email provider, Resend) and support you.

7. Your choices

You can delete the app's local data by uninstalling PromptSmith and removing its folder in your user profile. To ask us to delete your license and purchase records, email support@codecraftednexusllc.com.

8. Children

PromptSmith is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes and contact
