Code Crafted Nexus LLC ("we," "us," or "our") makes NexusView, a camera viewer for Windows and Mac. This policy explains what NexusView does and does not do with information.

1. What NexusView does not do

Your video never passes through our servers. NexusView connects directly from your computer to your cameras. We do not receive, store, or have access to your video, images, camera names, camera addresses, or camera passwords. The app has no account system and includes no analytics, crash reporting, or advertising identifiers.

2. What stays on your computer

  • Your camera list (names, addresses, and the usernames and passwords you enter for them) and your settings are stored locally in your user profile on your computer. Nothing in it is sent to us.
  • If you turn on recording, video files are saved only to the folder you choose on your computer. They are never sent to us.
  • A small diagnostic log (nexusview.log) records app errors such as failed loads. It is stored only on your computer and stays there unless you choose to send it to us for support.
  • Your license key and a signed activation record are stored locally.

3. Cloud camera viewers

For cloud-only brands (such as Arlo, Ring, Google Nest, Blink, Wyze, Eufy and SimpliSafe), NexusView shows that brand's own website in a built-in browser pane. You sign in directly with the brand, and your sign-in is kept in a private storage area inside the app so you stay signed in. Your dealings with that site are governed by the brand's own terms and privacy policy, and we do not see them.

Optional features that contact other services

These are off until you turn them on, and each uses an account or service you choose. We do not receive any of it.

  • AI descriptions. If you turn on AI, NexusView sends one snapshot from your camera, and any question you type under Events, straight from your computer to the AI company you select (for example Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or a server you run yourself), using your own API key. Their privacy terms and charges apply. Your key is stored only on your computer, encrypted with your system's secure storage when available.
  • Phone alerts. If you enter an ntfy topic, alert text and a snapshot are sent to the ntfy server you choose (ntfy.sh by default). Anyone who knows your topic name can read those alerts, so use a long, private name.
  • Webhook. If you enter a webhook address, NexusView sends it a short message (event type, camera name, time and, with AI, a description) when motion starts or a camera goes offline.
  • Phone viewer. If you turn it on, NexusView serves a code-protected page on your local network. Do not expose it to the internet.

4. License activation and checks

When you activate, and periodically while NexusView is open, the app contacts our license server (hosted on Supabase) and sends your license key, a one-way hash of your computer's identifier, the computer name, operating system, and app version. We use this only to enforce the number of computers per license, to disable refunded licenses, and to support you. It never includes camera information or video. We keep this license record for as long as the license exists.

5. Update checks

When you press “Check for updates” in Settings, NexusView asks our license server for the latest version number. The request includes only your platform (Windows or Mac). Updates are never installed without your click, and the download link opens in your web browser.

6. Purchase information

NexusView is sold through our website and processed by Paddle, our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle collects your payment details and billing information under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, and order details so we can send your license key and support you.

7. Your choices

You can delete the app's local data by uninstalling NexusView and removing its folder in your user profile. To ask us to delete your license and purchase records, email support@codecraftednexusllc.com.

8. Children

NexusView is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: Code Crafted Nexus LLC, 160 Harris St, Grand Rivers, KY 42045 · support@codecraftednexusllc.com
